The Onion

The Onion Training Sessions are a new initiative set up by UK Screen Association which is aimed junior staff within their membership.

Over the course of the year the sessions will aim to peel back the layers of the film, TV and commercials sector, giving those just starting out in their career a useful insight in to the industry and help them develop their career. They will take the form of panel discussions, workshops and skills based events which will be held on average each month.

The sessions are free with the only criteria being your employer is a member of UK Screen and that you hold a junior position within that company.

  • Monday 17th May - Technical Basics of TV
  • Monday 28th June - Editing
  • Monday 26th July - Grading
  • Monday 27th September - Technical Basic of Film
  • Monday 25th October - Acquisition - What happens on a shoot?
  • Monday 29th November - Inspirational
