Six Steps for going green: (Source: Unit - Broadcast Green Issue Aug 07)

  1. Recycle your waste.  Popular London-based recycling companies include First Mile and The Lab
  2. Get electricity from a green tariff - one that comes from renewable sources
  3. Ensure that airconditioning is current and doesn't contain CFC's or HCFC's, which damage the ozone layer
  4. Implement an energy management programme
  5. Use a data-centric workflow where possible: cut down on shuttling tapes around internally
  6. Get your carbon footprint audited and offset by a service such as the Carbon Neutral Company
