Lesley is Operations Director for Molinare TV & Film.
Previously Lesley was COO for Deluxe media Europe, responsible, with a skilled team of over 250 operations and technology people, for the integration of best practice operational workflows across multiple sites, whilst maintaining exceptional customer care for broadcasters, studios, and production companies. This varies from Live Subtitling to transcoding and content finishing and delivery to multiple broadcasters on a wide range of international platforms.
Lesley has also held several senior management positions at Sky & Technicolor. Her career path, however, started in production as a production assistant, followed by a move into the creative post production world working as an editor, before learning the skills of a VFX artist. After working at Quantel Lesley then moved into the world of Broadcast Operations.
In addition Lesley has, for several years, sat on the board of the IBC Conference Committee, which gives her an insight into the trends and challenges of our industry. This not only helps the committee shape a compelling conference schedule for the 50,000+ global IBC attendees, but enables her to share and anticipate trends that will impact the wider post production and media community.
Lesley says: "I have worked across the spectrum of post and production and I believe I have a unique viewpoint, which will add value to the UK Screen Board. It is clear to me there are large gaps in the skill sets of our workforce. Working with the membership of UK Screen I feel there is an opportunity to establish true and valid career paths for our staff, starting with the runners, which includes technical training in all areas of the content supply chain. I want to encourage a collaborative approach to ensure we all benefit from the creation of a flexible, highly trained and motivated workforce.
Our industry is in its biggest change / revolution and keeping up to speed with advances in technology, use of data, IT technologies and new ways of consuming content is a daily, fast paced challenge, so I’m keen to explore how we can help demystify and work through some of these challenges through UK Screen."
