Prime Focus posts Renegade's 'Who Was Jesus?'

Prime Focus has completed post production on a new series for Discovery Channel called 'Who Was Jesus?'

The three-part drama-documentary was made by Renegade Pictures and airs on Discovery Channel in the UK on Sunday 29 November at 9pm.

Three expert guides go on an extraordinary journey through the Holy Land to investigate the latest archaeological and historical evidence in an attempt to piece together a portrait of a man who would change history for ever. The three episodes will each look at a different aspect of Jesus' life. 'Childhood' is a profile of his growing up into adulthood as the Son of God, looking at the forces that shaped his life. 'The Mission' studies Jesus' work as a teacher and discovers a world of starvation, injustice and desperation for salvation. The final part, 'The Last Days', examines the tense political climate of the times and how the relationship between Jesus, the Jewish religious leaders and the Roman governors lead to his execution.

Alex Marengo directed the series and has used blue on previous occasions. "I've now seen a number of high-end broadcast projects through from offline to delivery at Prime Focus and have been consistently impressed," he said. "It's very rare to find such a great combination of flexible & friendly attitudes, a collaborative approach to solving the inevitable production headaches, and a painless, creative journey through post."

The Prime Focus team that worked on 'Who Was Jesus?' included Graeme Hayes who provided the grade, Clive Mattock, Online Editor and Ben Ormerod who looked after the sound.
