ELSTREE LIGHT AND POWER MOVES BACK TO ELSTREE STUDIOS

Top Film, TV and Event rental company Elstree Light and Power have moved back to Elstree Studios.

ELP undertake major Rigging projects for feature films such as Dark Knight, Nine and Inception.  They also light, power and rig TV shows such as Gladiators, The Proms, Strictly Come Dancing, Question Time and major Royal and State occasions at Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. Their broad market footprint includes corporate and exhibition projects, product launches, Plc AGM's and music shows such as T4 on the Beach.

Their new base at Elstree Studios will be a showroom  and sales office to their skills  across  the  industry and also offer Elstree  Studios an onsite  stock of lighting , rigging and power equipment to compliment the growing production village which now includes special effects companies such as Lifecast (Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Rambo), sound post and editing with Second Sense (Later with Jools Holland, Electric Proms),  Roger Patel's recently opened foley suite (Doc Martin), scenery and staging company Media Powerhouse,  Sapex and super HD and 3D camera facilities from Rogue Element (Murderland, Devils Playground).

"ELP is an important ingredient in the Elstree Studios offering to clients" commented Roger Morris, Managing Director of Elstree Studios. "It means the Studios can almost offer a one stop shop for technical facilities and stages".

Ronan Willson, Managing Director of ELP, says "I am delighted to be returning to our original home at Elstree and to support developments at the Studios by investing in onsite resources that will enhance the commercial advantages of shooting at Elstree. We will be offering 'turnkey' equipment packages to clients wishing to achieve a full 'TV studio' within the 'Four Wall' stages presently available. By doing so, clients will save the substantial costs normally involved in transforming the stages to replicate TV studio facilities. Clients will also benefit by saving time as the infrastructure will be permanently installed. Beyond this we will be able to provide rapid response to all studio users requiring equipment and services both on and off site."

Feature films currently based at Elstree Studios include Kings Speech and Devils Playground. The recently acclaimed Harry Brown starring Sir Michael Caine was made earlier this year at Elstree Studios. Elstree is also preparing for the latest series of ITV's Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Big Brother, both of which air in the New Year.
