Online Post Production has completed the pre-TX offline editing, online editing and final website encoding requirements for The Operation: Surgery Live for Windfall Films and Channel 4.

Presented by Krishnan Guru-Murthy and in association with the Wellcome Trust, the live- to-air operations include awake brain surgery, open heart surgery, keyhole stomach repair and pituitary tumour removal.
During the live show, questions were fielded by the surgeons from viewers through Twitter, using the hashtag #slive. Anna Evans-Freke, Producer for Windfall said: "The response has been amazing; we're absolutely delighted (as are C4)! Apparently we were second most popular Twitter globally on Tuesday night, which is incredible and the website is second most popular on C4 (after Hollyoaks)! All very exciting. Thank you both [Kathy Kenyon and Dave Moon of Online Post] for all your help with the project, and especially to Dave for doing such a great job in the edit. Hope to work with you again soon."
For Finola Lang, Web Producer for Windfall, Online's encoding experience was crucial to the success of the website: "Thanks for all your hard fast work, editing, Photoshop and encoding wizardry. Channel 4 was very pleased with your encoding and the fact you got it spot on first time."
The surgery was broadcast live to a studio audience at Wellcome Collection in London, as well as TV viewers at home, from some of the country's leading NHS hospitals - Papworth, Southampton General, Addenbrooke's and King's College Hospital, London.
