Last week's 'Fund Raising and Financial Fun in a Depression' seminar at Coutts proved to be a very interesting evening.
Despite the economic downturn, it was apparent that that there are still opportunities out there to help raise capital and grow your business if you look in the right places.
The event, chaired by Mike Luckwell, saw speakers Rob Stapledon (Coutts), Patrick Bradley (Ingenious Ventures), Christopher Jenkins (Wingrave Yeats) and Gareth Wilding (Fineline Media Finance) delve in to the various options available and the best way to get your hands on funding whether you go through the bank, V.C.s, 'Angels' or media finance.
They covered what would be involved with each of the routes, what your business plan should look like and what would be expected from each of the institutions if funding was agreed. Jenkins also gave practical advice on adjusting your business to fit the current climate and what to do when times are tough.
"Brilliant evening. Excellent speakers." and "...extremely informative" were just some of the comments we received from those attending.

Whilst we are talking all things finance, the next Finance Roundtable will be held on 29th April. Further information to follow. |
