Great British Menu returns to our screens for a fourth series and blue is again providing the post production work.

Having post produced series 2 and 3 and a Christmas special already, blue knew exactly what to serve up for Optomen who made the series for BBC Two, which starts on Monday 30th March at 6.30pm.
The series sees leading chefs battling it out for the right to cook a glorious homecoming banquet to honour troops, returning from active service in Afghanistan. Two top cooks will go head-to-head each week to convince the judges (Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort) and ultimately the public that their dishes, which must celebrate the best of British food, are worthy of such a grand occasion.
blue is providing grade, online, offline and sound on the series which consists of 40 x 30-minute regional heats, as well as 4 x 60-minute finals and a results shows. A fifth series, which is due to air in 2010 has also been commissioned by the BBC. Philip J Smith, the Series Producer at Optomen commented "It takes nine offlines, two onlines, Nitris, Smoke, two sound studios and nearly six months of hard graft in post to get Great British Menu on air, and you could only do that with a dedicated facility behind you. What makes me pleased to come back to blue, for this our third year together, is the breadth of services available and the enthusiasm for the series from all the staff. It genuinely feels like they know the show as well as, if not better, than me sometimes!"
Lindsay Bradbury is the Executive Editor for BBC Daytime and says "We are delighted that Great British Menu will be back on our screens - not just for another series - but for two. These promise to be even bigger and better than the last - expect the same high production values, great chefs and cooking take-out - but we've also got some fabulous surprises up our sleeves."
