  Meet the team

UK Screen Association is the trade body for UK companies providing services to the film and television screen industries.

Specifically we support and promote the commercial interests of companies involved in post-production, audio, visual and special effects, DVD, camera, lighting and equipment hire, new media, outside broadcast and studios.

Together the service companies provide the infrastructure which underpins the entire film and broadcast industry. Whether lobbying on a local, regional or national basis it makes sense to have a loud and united voice; we provide a central point of focus, gathering and representing the views of the sector to government, broadcasters, studios and manufacturers.

We have created a number of special interest groups to focus on specific issues and opportunities thus enabling us to operate effectively and deliver value to our broad membership base. The Chair of each interest group sits on the Board of Directors to ensure cross fertilisation of ideas and interest.

UK Screen Association acts as the strategic lobbying group interacting with government agencies, providing a support mechanism and a voice for its members, with particular focus on:

  • Fiscal, legislative, employment and technical standards
  • The promotion of the sector to existing and potential clients in both the UK and abroad
  • The development of skills within the industry
  • It will provide an umbrella organisation both for members and other trade bodies within these industries

The association is entirely independent. We are funded by membership subscriptions and the generous support of our sponsors.
