UK Screen Association - Representing the UK's Post Production and Special Effects industries

Simon Kanjee, Managing Director, Evolutions

Simon has been in the industry for over 18 years and is Managing Director of Evolutions TV, now the largest independent post production company in Soho.

Simon's trade background is in sales; he started off by selling ad space for Broadcast magazine, then progressed to work for post houses Molinare and TSI - at the latter as managing director for 9 years. During a short stint of freelancing that followed, the opportunity arose to venture into a purchase of a post production facility - Evolutions.

Since Simon led the management buyout at Evolutions in 2004, the company has more than doubled in size and now employs over 150 people, facilitating 120 suites of every description across multiple sites in Soho and is a major player in the post industry, post producing many top shows, including The Apprentice, Top Gear, The F-Word and Shipwrecked. Evolutions has also recently opened a New York office, working with British production companies making programmes for the US market.

As Chair of the Broadcast Working Group, Simon is keen to make UK Screen a dynamic and forceful voice for the broadcast post industry, supporting the members and battling the many threats that affect the industry.
