Mike Luckwell

Mike Luckwell worked on the stock exchange and then in the feature film industry. He set up The Moving Picture Company (MPC) and was MD from its inception. He reversed MPC into Carlton Communications Plc (now ITV) and became Carlton's largest shareholder and MD until he sold his £25m holding and resigned. In the late 1980's he was the biggest shareholder in WPP. 

Mike Luckwell had a significant holding in TVam, Xtreme-Register and various media companies. He was the second largest shareholder in HIT Entertainment until 2005 when it was sold to Apax for £489m. He is now chairman of Baby Channel, a JV with RDF, Million 2 One, a gaming company, and Simply Media TV which owns and operates 5 satellite channels and 20 IPTV chanels.  Additionally, he is a director of Unit Post Production, The Listening Company and Ingenious Media Active Capital plc.
